The Folklore provides clear guidelines for processing refunds related to Dropship orders. Below is an overview of the refund process, eligibility, and conditions.
Refund Eligibility
Refunds can be requested under the following circumstances:
- Product Damage: If an item arrives damaged or defective, the customer is eligible for a refund or replacement.
- Incorrect Items: If an incorrect item was shipped, a refund or replacement will be processed.
- Order Cancellations: If a customer decides to cancel an order before it is fulfilled, a full refund will be issued.
Requesting a Refund
- Customers can initiate a refund by emailing shop@thefolklore.com or by contacting us via the third-party marketplace platform (if applicable).
- Upon receiving the refund request, The Folklore will verify the order details and the reason for the refund.
Refund Process
- Verification: The Folklore team will review the refund request and confirm the eligibility of the refund based on the circumstances (damaged goods, incorrect items, etc.).
- Return Shipping: If necessary, the customer will be provided with a return shipping label (either by us or by the customer’s own arrangement).
- Refund Issuance: Once the returned product is received and inspected (if applicable), The Folklore will process the refund via the same payment method used for the original purchase.
- Timeline: Refunds will typically be processed within 5-7 business days after the return is received and approved.
Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds may not be issued under the following conditions:
- Used or Opened Products: Products that have been used or opened may not be eligible for a refund unless faulty.
- After Return Deadline: Refund requests made after the deadline for returns have passed will not be processed.
Refund Deductions
- If a customer is refunded due to an issue with the order (e.g., damaged product), The Folklore may deduct the return shipping cost, if applicable, from the brand's payout.
- If a third-party marketplace has fees or penalties for return processing, these may also be deducted from the brand’s payout.
