Once a customer places an order through one of your connected marketplaces, The Folklore’s Dropship Order Management system helps you quickly and accurately fulfill it. This guide outlines the steps to generate a shipping label, prepare your product, and ensure your order is delivered on time.
Step 1: Confirm Order Details
- Log into your Folklore account
- Go to the Orders section in your dashboard
- Click into the new order to review:
- Marketplace name
- Product(s) ordered
- Quantity and size (if applicable)
- Customer name and shipping address
- Order notes or special instructions
- Marketplace name
Verify the details are correct before proceeding to fulfillment
Step 2: Prepare the Shipment
- Inspect the item for quality and packaging requirements
- Use your standard packaging or follow the specific marketplace guidelines if applicable
- Make sure to include any tags, inserts, or care instructions you normally provide
Step 3: Generate the Shipping Label
- In the order view, click Fulfill Order
- The Folklore will generate a shipping label using the product’s shipping weight, dimensions, and origin and delivery address
- Download and print the shipping label
- If customs documents are required, they will also be auto-generated and available for download
Important: Ensure your product dimensions and weight are accurate in the product setup to avoid delivery issues. If the dimensions and weight are different, the shipping fees could cost more and you will be built for those additional fees.
Step 4: Ship the Order
- Attach the shipping label securely to the package
- Drop off the package or schedule a pickup with the carrier listed on the label
- Once shipped, the tracking number will be automatically synced with the customer’s order on their marketplace
Shipping Reminders
- Orders should be fulfilled within 2–3 business days of receipt unless otherwise noted by the marketplace
- If your processing time will be longer (e.g. made-to-order products), make sure that’s reflected in your product settings and communicated to the buyer. Some marketplaces do not allow for you to sell made to order items, so please ensure you check that marketplace terms to see if made to order is possible.
