The Folklore makes it easier than ever to manage orders from multiple platforms all in one place. This guide walks you through how to view, fulfill, and manage customer inquiries and returns from your centralized order dashboard.
What Is Dropship Order Management?
The Dropship Order Management system allows you to:
- Receive and manage orders from multiple marketplaces, social media platforms, and search engines.
- Automatically generate discounted shipping labels and customs documents.
- Respond to customer inquiries from across platforms.
- Receive weekly payouts in USD to your local bank account.
- Have returns routed to The Folklore’s centralized receiving facility for inspection and resolution.
You can easily manage your Dropship orders through The Folklore platform. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you track and manage your orders.
1. Log in to The Folklore Platform
- Log into your account on The Folklore platform.
2. Access the Orders Page
- Click Orders in the navigation menu.
- Select All Orders to view the full list.
3. View Order Details
To view a specific order, click on the order number. This will take you to the Order Page, where you’ll find the following sections:
Order Information:
- Ship by Date: The date the order must be shipped by.
- Tracking Number: Displays once the shipping label is created.
- Shipping Address: The address to which the order should be delivered.
- Date Ordered: The date the customer placed the order.
- Sales Channel: The platform where the order was made (e.g., Instagram, Etsy).
Payment & Fees:
- Payment Status: Indicates whether the payment has been processed.
- Sub-total: Total cost of the items before taxes and shipping.
- Shipping Label Cost: The cost of generating the shipping label.
- Transaction Fees: These fees are applied to the order based on the type of order your receive:
- The Folklore Transaction Fee
- 3rd-Party Marketplace Transaction Fee (5%)
- Consumer Storefront Transaction Fee (6%)
- Wholesale Storefront Transaction Fee (2.5%)
- Payment Processing Fees (Stripe: 2.9% + $0.30 for consumer/wholesale orders)
- The Folklore Transaction Fee
Customer Information:
- Customer Name: The name of the person who placed the order.
Marketplace Fees (If Applicable):
- Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, TikTok: TBD
- Nordstrom: 17%-24% commission
- Etsy: 9.5% + $0.25 order transaction fee
4. Cancel or Deny an Order
If you need to cancel or deny an order, email shop@thefolklore.com. We’ll cancel or deny the order in our system, and this will be reflected on the Order Summary and Order Page. The customer will be notified via email.

- Keep product and inventory information up to date to avoid fulfillment issues.
- Respond to customer inquiries promptly to improve satisfaction and marketplace ratings.
- Review the return policies for each connected marketplace to ensure compliance.
