After receiving and accepting an order, proper packaging and preparation will ensure that the products arrive safely and in good condition. Follow these key steps when preparing orders for shipment through The Folklore

Step 1: Review Order Details
- Log in to your The Folklore Dashboard.
- Navigate to Orders in the main navigation menu, then select All Orders.
- Click the order number to open the Order Page and review the details, including:
- Product(s) and quantity
- Shipping address
- Fulfillment speed
- Customer name
- Product(s) and quantity
Make sure you’ve already created and downloaded the correct shipping label and any required customs documents.
Step 2: Gather Required Packaging Materials
Packaging Supplies:
- Sturdy boxes or mailers appropriate for the size and quantity of items
- Protective materials like tissue paper, bubble wrap, or poly bags
- Product tags and size/care labels
- Packing slips and printed shipping labels
- International orders: a clear pouch or envelope for customs documents
Step 3: Package Products Individually
Product Packaging:
- Attach any required tags and care labels to each product
- Wrap each product securely to avoid damage in transit
- Avoid overpacking—ensure the packaging is compact but protective
Step 4: Pack All Items Neatly and Securely
Order Packaging:
- Include all items from the order in the same package
- Use protective materials to cushion the items
- Ensure the box is clean, undamaged, and free of third-party branding (unless it’s the courier)
- Place the packing slip inside the package
Step 5: Attach Shipping Documents
Shipping Labels:
- Affix the printed shipping label to the outside of the package
- For international shipments, securely attach any customs documentation in a pouch
Step 6: Arrange for Shipment
Delivery:
- Drop off the package at the designated courier location
- Or, schedule a pickup with the courier, if available
Once shipped, the customer will receive a shipping notification.
