Creating accurate and complete shipping documents is a crucial step in fulfilling consumer orders. These documents ensure smooth delivery, reduce the risk of delays, and provide essential information for tracking and customs clearance. Here’s a step-by-step guide to generating shipping documents for consumer orders on The Folklore platform.

Step 1: Access the Orders Section

  1. Log in to your Folklore Dashboard.
  2. Navigate to the Consumer Orders section under Orders in the navigation bar.
  3. Locate the specific consumer order you want to fulfill.

Step 2: Review Order Details

  1. Click on the order to open its details.
  2. Verify the order information, including the recipient’s address, the items purchased, and the total order value.
  3. Check for any special instructions provided by the customer.

Step 3: Generate Shipping Documents

  1. In the order details page, click the Fulfill Order button on the top right.
  2. Select the option to generate the necessary shipping documents, which may include:
    • Shipping Labels: Attach to the package for courier identification.
    • Packing Slips: Include inside the package to detail the order contents.
  3. The Folklore platform integrates with EasyPost for a 1-click shipping label solution:
    • Select the approved carrier (DHL Express, USPS, or Canada Post).

    • Verify the pre-filled information provided by the system and make adjustments as needed.

      - Shipping Within the United States

    • For brands shipping within the U.S., the designated carrier is: UPS

    • When fulfilling U.S. domestic shipments through The Folklore: UPS will be the carrier used.

    • You have the option to add full coverage insurance for an additional fee.

    • Insurance is not mandatory, but it is strongly recommended to protect your shipment in case of loss or damage.

  4. Once completed, the platform will automatically generate the shipping label and packing slip.

Step 4: Print and Prepare Documents

  1. Download the generated shipping label and packing slip.
  2. Print the documents using a high-quality printer to ensure clarity.
  3. Attach the shipping label securely to the package exterior.
  4. Place the packing slip inside the package.

Step 5: Finalize the Shipment

  1. Arrange for courier collection or drop off the package at the carrier’s designated location.
  2. If shipping internationally, include additional documents, such as a Commercial Invoice (automatically generated by the platform for international orders).
