Publishing products on the wholesale and consumer marketplaces allows retailers and customers to discover and purchase your brand's offerings. Activating your products across additional channels like 3rd party marketplaces, social media, and search platforms further increases visibility and sales.
This guide outlines the steps to ensure your products are activated and visible on all available platforms.
Steps to Publish a Product
Navigate to Products > Product Catalog in the dashboard.
Locate the product you want to publish. Use the search bar to quickly find your item.
Ensure all required information is complete.
Publishing in the Wholesale Storefront
To activate a product for wholesale:
Complete all required wholesale fields, including Order Minimum and Maximum.
Click Save and refresh the page.
Go to the Status section and check the box for Activate for Wholesale Marketplace.
Click Activate to publish.
Publishing in the Consumer Storefront
To activate a product for consumer purchases:
Complete the required consumer fields, including Consumer Quantity and Fulfillment.
Click Save and refresh the page.
Go to the Status section and check the box for Activate for Consumer Marketplace.
Click Activate to publish.
Publishing in Marketplaces and Social Media
1. Activate the Product
On the top right of the product page, click the Status Button.
From the drop-down menu, select Activate Product.
2. Choose Activation Channels
In the pop-up that appears, mark the boxes for:
3rd Party Marketplace
Social Media & Search
You may activate your product on one or multiple platforms simultaneously.
3. Submit Activation Request
After selecting your desired platforms, click Activate.
4. Confirmation and Missing Fields
A confirmation message will appear once the activation request is submitted.
If required fields are missing, a bulleted list will appear. Complete these fields and resubmit.
5. Product Status and Notification
If the marketplace allows instant product publishing, your product will go live within hours.
If the marketplace requires approval and your product is denied, The Folklore will notify you with the reason for denial.
⚠️ Note: Not all subscriptions include access to Marketplaces or Social Media integrations. Confirm your subscription plan before proceeding.
Checking Product Status
After publishing, confirm the product is active by checking the sales channels section on the product page:
Green filled square → the channel is activ.
Empty square → the channel is not active .
All available channels will appear in the list, but only the ones with a green icon indicate that the product is currently active on that marketplace or platform.
Troubleshooting Publishing Errors
If required fields are incomplete, products will not be published. A red error message will indicate the missing information needed to proceed. Complete the indicated fields and try again.
