Individual Product Upload

Learn how to create and upload individual products to your brand's digital showroom or The Folklore Shop. This guide includes detailed instructions for filling out product information, activating products, and understanding product upload definitions. For bulk uploads, click here.

Uploading a Product

To upload a product:

  1. Click Product Catalog under Products in the navigation bar to access your Product Catalog.
  2. Click the Add Product button at the top right side of the page.

Entering Product Information

You must fill out all required fields on the product creation page to publish a product. Optional fields do not need to be completed. Save your work periodically to prevent loss of data in case the page reloads.

Saving as a Draft

To save a product as a draft, you need to fill out:

  • Product Name
  • Color Family, Color Name, and Color Hex (under Colors in Variant Options)

Then, click Save to store the product as a draft in your Product Catalog. 

Required Information for Activation

To activate a product for the wholesale and/or consumer marketplace, ensure the following information is completed:

  • Product Info: Product Number, Product Description
  • Category Info: Division, Department, Class
  • Additional Details: Care Instructions, Material
  • Upload Media: Up to 5 clear images not exceeding 5MB each (recommended dimensions: 1024 x 1024)
  • Pricing: Wholesale Price, Retail Price
  • Shipping: Weight, Weight Unit, Country of Origin, HS (Harmonized System) Code
  • Variant Options:
    • Sizing: Size Country, Available Sizes
  • Product Variants: Wholesale Price, Retail Price

Optional Information for Activation

  • Additional Details
    • Additional Materials: A comprehensive list of materials or fabrics used in the product.
    • Tags: Keywords or hashtags that describe the product, enhancing discoverability on digital showroom or The Folklore Shop.
  • Additional Options

    • Allow enabling or disabling requests for samples of the product.

    • Toggle: "Enable request sample for this product."

  • Variant Options
    • Click Add Options to include other variant options
    • Fill in the fields Option Name and Option Values.

Activating a Product for Wholesale

To activate a product for the wholesale marketplace, ensure the following information is completed:

  • Wholesale Availability: Order Minimum, Order Maximum, Fulfillment

Steps to Activate:

  1. Press Save and refresh the page.
  2. Click Status.
  3. Check the box for Activate for Wholesale Marketplace and click Activate.

Activating a Product for Consumer (The Folklore Shop)

To activate a product for the consumer marketplace, ensure the following information is completed:

  • Consumer Availability: Fulfillment

Steps to Activate:

  1. Press Save and refresh the page.
  2. Click Status.
  3. Check the box for Activate for Consumer Marketplace and click Activate.

Previewing a Product

To preview how your product will appear to retailers on digital showroom:

  • Click Preview in the top right corner of the product creation page.

Confirming Product Activation

  • Wholesale Status: Displays "active" at the top of the page.
  • Consumer Status: Displays "active" at the top of the page.

Product Upload Definitions

Here’s a breakdown of fields required in the product upload form:

  • Additional Materials (Optional): A comprehensive list of materials or fabrics used.
  • Barcode (Optional): The product's GS1 GTINs or EAN/UPC barcode number.
  • Care Instructions: Details on product care to ensure longevity.
  • Class: The class the product represents.
  • Color: Specify the color of the product; multiple variants can be added.
  • Consumer Quantity: The available quantity for consumer purchase.
  • Country of Origin: The country where the product was finished ("Made In" label).
  • Department: The department the product represents.
  • Division: The division the product represents.
  • Harmonized System Code: A classification code used by customs; select from the provided list.
  • Material: The materials or fabric used to create the product. Select "Other" if not listed.
  • Order Availability: Determines when a product is available to ship:
    • Immediate Shipping: Pre-made and in stock, available to ship within 7 business days.
  • Order Maximum: The maximum number of units retailers can order.
  • Order Minimum: The minimum number of units retailers can order.
  • Product Description: The characteristics and details of the product (e.g., fit, size, inspiration, production process).
  • Product Name: The unique name assigned to the product.
  • Product Number: The unique style number assigned to each product.
  • Retail Price: The suggested retail price, typically 50-70% higher than the wholesale price.
  • Sizing: Enter all available sizes, specifying the size country (e.g., EU 36, US 5).
  • Unit Weight: The weight of the product, with unit of measurement.
  • Upload Media: Up to 5 high-quality images, not exceeding 5MB each.
  • Variant SKU (Optional): A unique SKU for each variant.

Troubleshooting Publishing Errors

If required fields are incomplete, products will not be published. A red error message will indicate the missing information needed to proceed. Complete the indicated fields and try again.
