Proper packaging and preparation ensure your orders arrive safely and in good condition. Follow these steps when preparing both wholesale and consumer orders for shipment through The Folklore.
Step 1: Review Order Details

Log in to your The Folklore Dashboard

Navigate to Wholesale Orders or Consumer Orders

Click the order number to open the Order Page

Review the details, including:
• Products and quantity
• Shipping address
• Customer name
• Any special instructions
Step 2: Gather Required Packaging Materials

Sturdy boxes or mailers appropriate for the items

Protective materials such as tissue paper, bubble wrap, or poly bags

Product tags, size and care labels, and branded inserts (optional)

Packing slips, shipping labels, and any required documentation

For international wholesale orders: commercial invoices and customs documents
Step 3: Package Products Individually

Attach tags and care labels to each product

Wrap products securely to avoid damage during transit

Avoid overpacking while ensuring protection
Step 4: Pack All Items Neatly and Securely

Place all items from the order in the same package

Use protective materials to cushion the products

Ensure the box is clean, undamaged, and free of third-party branding (unless required by the courier)

Include the packing slip inside the package

For international wholesale shipments, include the commercial invoice and customs documentation
Step 5: Generate and Attach Shipping Documents

Use The Folklore platform to generate the shipping label

Verify weight, dimensions, and addresses are correct

Attach the shipping label securely to the outside of the package

For international wholesale orders, include the commercial invoice (auto-generated if applicable)
Step 6: Arrange for Shipping

Drop off the package with the courier or schedule a pickup

Tracking information will automatically sync to the customer (consumer order) or retailer (wholesale order)

For wholesale orders, use Folklore Messenger to update the retailer if needed
Step 7: Review and Confirm

Double-check packaging, documentation, and label accuracy before shipping

Ensure duties, VAT, and customs paperwork are included for international shipments
