The Pop-Up Sales Channels feature allows brands to discover and connect with small boutiques for in-person pop-ups or trunk shows, directly from The Folklore platform.
Availability:
Pop-Up Sales Channels are currently available as a Beta feature for Plus and Premium brands only.
How to Access Pop-Up Sales Channels
To find Pop-Up opportunities:
Log in to your The Folklore account
From the left-hand navigation menu, go to Selling
Click on Opportunities
Inside the Opportunities tab, you’ll see:
Online marketplace opportunities
Pop-Up boutiques, clearly labeled with a “Pop-Up” tag
Viewing Pop-Up Boutique Details
When you click on a Pop-Up boutique card, you’ll see a detail page that matches the layout of marketplace profiles.
The detail page includes:
Boutique name
Type: Pop-Up
Location
Commission range (for example: “Boutique retains 25% of in-store sales”)
Website link
Boutique description
Product divisions or departments
Approval required (if applicable)
Connect button on the right-hand side
Requesting a Pop-Up Connection
To request a connection with a boutique:
Go to Selling → Opportunities
Click on a Pop-Up boutique card
Review the boutique details
Click Connect
Your request will move to the Pending state until the boutique responds.
What Happens After You Click “Connect”
Boutique Notification
When you request a connection, the boutique receives an automated email from The Folklore.
Email includes:
Your brand name
Your brand description (from your The Folklore profile)
Your website link
Your Instagram link
A short introduction explaining your interest in a pop-up or trunk show
Two buttons:
Accept Connection
Decline Connection
Boutique Response Flow
If the Boutique Accepts
Connection status updates to Connected
Boutique receives a confirmation email with your contact info
Your brand receives a confirmation email with the boutique’s contact details
The Connect button changes to View Contact Info
You can access contact details and both parties are instructed to coordinate directly:
Pop-up dates
Setup
Products
Payments
If the Boutique Declines
Connection status updates to Declined
Your brand receives an automatic decline email
The boutique card resets to its default Connect state
Important Notes & Limitations
All payments, contracts, logistics, and scheduling are handled directly between the brand and boutique
The Folklore does not process pop-up payments or take fees
Pop-Up boutiques are manually curated by The Folklore team
