Maintaining accurate and updated product information is essential for ensuring a seamless experience for both retailers and consumers. This guide will walk you through the steps to edit product details, update images, adjust pricing, and manage availability with ease.
Accessing Product Details
To update a product:
- Navigate to Commerce > Product Catalog from the navigation bar.
- Locate the product you want to edit. Use the search bar to find specific products quickly.
- Click on the product name to open its details page.
Updating Product Details
1. Editing Product Information
You can update any of the following fields:
- Product Name
- Product Number
- Product Description
- Division, Department, and Class
- Tags for enhanced discoverability
Make your changes and click Save to apply updates.
2. Adjusting Variant Details
If your product has multiple variants (e.g., colors or sizes):
- Scroll to the Variant Options section.
- Edit fields like Color Family, Color Name, or Available Sizes.
- Click Save after making changes.
Updating Pricing
- Go to the Pricing section of the product page.
- Update the Wholesale Price and/or Retail Price as needed.
- Click Save to confirm changes.
Updating Images
- Scroll to the Upload Media section of the product page.
- To add new images:
- Click Upload and select up to 5 high-quality images (maximum size: 5MB, recommended dimensions: 1024 x 1024).
- To replace an image:
- Hover over the image and click the Delete icon, then upload a new file.
- Click Save to apply changes.
Updating Shipping Information
- In the Shipping section, update fields such as:
- Weight and Weight Unit
- Country of Origin
- Harmonized System (HS) Code
- Click Save to confirm updates.
Updating Availability
Wholesale Availability
- Update Order Minimum and Order Maximum in the Wholesale Availability section.
- Specify Order Availability: Choose between Immediate Shipping or Made to Order.
Consumer Availability
- Update Consumer Quantity and specify Fulfillment: Choose between Immediate Shipping or Made to Order.
Click Save after making changes.
Publishing Updated Products
To publish your updated product not already activated:
- Ensure all required fields are completed.
- Click Status and select Activate for the Wholesale or Consumer marketplace.
Troubleshooting Publishing Errors
If required fields are incomplete, products will not be published. A red error message will indicate the missing information needed to proceed. Complete the indicated fields and try again.
